The LNGC Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing all engineering operations aboard liquefied natural gas carriers (LNGCs). This individual must possess extensive experience and expertise with steam turbine propulsion systems. Duties include ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all machinery, conducting regular inspections and maintenance, managing the engineering crew, and troubleshooting any technical issues that arise. The Chief Engineer collaborates closely with other department heads to ensure seamless vessel operations and compliance with industry regulations.

Requirements:

  • Valid Chief Engineer license.
  • Extensive experience with steam turbine propulsion systems, preferably in LNGC vessels.
